Pavadai Thavani is a traditional dress worn mainly in South India by young girls between puberty and marriage. It is also known as the two-piece sari or half sari lehenga,which has 3pieces of cloth. Blouse (covers from shoulder till above hip), pavadai (skirt - covers from lower hip till toe) and Thavani (half saree- to cover the chest part like saree). The real joy of womanhood is in half saree. You can still see in villages that girls wear half sarees as a daily wear until marriage. Half saree with light makeup and jewelry make girls as a real angel.
